Cultureflux.com is where DC turns for insightful articles and commentary, information about local art and cultural events, and forums for new views and opinions. Whether it's a provocative new art space, a stylish boutique, an up-and-coming musician, or an undiscovered artist, you'll read about it on Cultureflux.com.

More than just an online magazine, Cultureflux also has an interactive discussion list (www.topica.com/lists/cultureflux) and hosts private events that draw an eclectic mix of artists, media, gallery owners, actors, musicians, theater patrons, and young professionals with a strong interest in the arts.

Sacha Cohen, Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Sacha has been an editor and writer for print and online media for the past 10 years. She has written for The Washington Post, New York Magazine, Fast Company, Kiplinger Personal Finance, as well as Kiplinger.com, Monster.com, and Oxygen. She began her career at the Cahners Publishing Company in Chicago in 1992, writing and editing for a group of furniture design magazines (who doesn't love edgebanders?).

In 1995, Sacha returned to her hometown of DC and worked as the Technology Editor for Training & Development magazine, where she wrote primarily about the Internet and its impact on business, management, and the workplace. In 1998, Sacha joined enews.com as an editor and producer. She also managed the company's publisher relations program as well as strategic partnerships with Yahoo! and Excite. Sacha left the company in1999 to start a freelance writing and editing business. She currently writes monthly career columns for USAToday.com and UPI.

Jackie Ross , Managing Editor and Columnist
Jackie has managed, edited, and written for a variety of print and online publications, including SELF magazine, The Motley Fool, MyBusiness magazine, EUROPE magazine, StudentAdvantage.com, and The Florida Times-Union. Previously an account manager with a custom publishing firm, she managed publications covering political lobbying, entertainment, business, technology, health care, and yes, even trucking. Currently a Foolish Editor with The Motley Fool, she gets to wear jeans to work. But she's never worn a fool's cap. Ever.

Greg Guthrie, Editor
Greg comes to DC fresh from receiving his MA in English Literature from the University of New Hampshire. While there, he taught freshman composition. The culmination of his graduate work resulted in a thesis devoted to the dry, British wit of Sylvia Townsend Warner and urban representation in literature. His outlandish scheme was to unearth the codes of representation located in urban and rural settings and the resonating effect such trends have in illuminating modern culture. Prior to UNH, he attended the University of Iowa, where he received his BA in English Literature. Though he was never affiliated with the renowned Writers' Workshop, he did end up serving coffee to most of the emerging literati while working at a local cafe.

Brad Aabel, Website Designer and Information Architect
Brad is a self-taught web developer specializing in design and content management. He designed, developed, and managed web sites for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for more than four years. He currently works in the same capacity for another government agency, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). While this has provided an excellent foundation for developing his knowledge and skills, lately Brad has begun working outside the confines of the federal government where he has been able to design sites that require more creativity, design, and vision.
